401(k) Retirement Plan
Saving for your retirement and building financial security for the future is an important part of financial planning. That’s why Vail Resorts provides a 401(k) Retirement Plan where you can have tax-savings now, while planning ahead for retirement.
Contributions
Employees aged 21 or older can participate in the Plan on the first of the month following your hire date.
You are always 100% vested in your contributions. There is a 4-year vesting schedule for the contributions from Vail Resorts:

- You have the option of participating through Roth and/or Traditional contributions.
- You may contribute from 2% to 100% of your pay to your account up to the IRS annual contribution limits for 2024:
- $23,000
- $7,500 catch-up for employees age 50 and over

Important Information
- You can enroll or make changes to your elections in the 401(k) at any time.
- Be sure to name your beneficiary when first enrolling and keep it updated of any changes.
